Examination Duration: 1 Day

This course is ideal for those that have experience with standard eddy current testing, wider NDT methods and asset integrity wishing to gain an understanding of PEC and CUI as well as supporting those that have recently purchased the Eddyfi Lyft system.
Pipeline CUI is a major issue facing asset integrity and plant operations, PEC is seen as the front runner in tackling the problems CUI poses. Designed in conjunction with Eddyfi, this course has been created to provide a base knowledge of PEC, an overview of the new Lyft system and its benefits and limitations.
Practical demonstrations and hands on experience are vital in any NDT method and this course will give attendees the opportunity to inspect a mixture of heavily corroded and decommissioned pipe as well as new dedicated samples designed to cover the full spectrum of potential scenarios.
On completion of the course and practical assessment, attendees will receive an Argyll Ruane training certificate demonstrating a level of understanding of PEC, CUI and the Eddyfi Lyft system.

Special Note

It has been agreed by PDTC (ICorr) to add an experience assessment to all ICorr certifications for personnel engaged in painting and coating inspection. Full details of the changes can be provided on request.
